New course on Christian-Muslim Relations
Respect and understanding are necessary steps in establishing the kinds of mutually beneficial relationships that make for good community. For this reason, ICETE Partner ScholarLeaders has created a new curriculum that contributes to a better understanding of Islamic history and theology, in order to enhance Christian and Muslim relations.
Dr. Wageeh Mikhail, Director of Engagement with Islam, led the development of this curriculum. The Christian-Muslim Relations Online Course is now available for download in either Arabic or English. ***Please note that the link will only open in Moodle or Canvas***
The first Course covers the history of Islam and the second Course gives an overview of the theology of Islam. Courses resources include video lectures, sample syllabi, interactive and reflective questions, lecturers’ résumés, and other online materials. You will hear from Dr. Tharwat Wahib (Egypt), Dr. Wageeh Mikhail (Egypt), Dr. John Azumah (Ghana), Dr. Imad Shehadeh (Jordan), Dr. Alexander Massad (Lebanon/USA), and Dr. Martin Accad (Lebanon) over a series of more than 60 lectures. The course can be done at your own pace, using either Moodle or Canvas.
