Teach Every Nation (TEN) and the South African Theological Seminary (SATS) are collaborating to host a summit from September 10th to 14th, 2023, at the TEN Campus in Limpopo, South Africa. This gathering aims to explore strategic partnerships between formal and non-formal educational institutions. We will showcase SATS’s new Micro Seminary (https://sats.ac.za/micro-seminary/) and share how SATS (formal) and TEN (non-formal) partner on this model. This project emerged from our initial discovery and discussions at the ICETE Turkey 2022 conference.TEN extends a warm invitation to educational leaders in the Global South who operate within the formal theological education sector. This four-day workshop will occur from September 10th to 14th, 2023, at the TEN Campus in South Africa – see https://vimeo.com/718092808.We have reserved space for a maximum of 30 participants, and those who successfully apply and are accepted will be provided complimentary accommodations and meals throughout the event. Limited travel sponsorships are available to cover up to 50 percent of the airfare for select applicants.Speakers include Dr. Kevin Smith, the Principal of SATS, and Rev. Martin Deacon, President and CEO of TEN. During our time together, we will dedicate the afternoons primarily to networking and providing opportunities to explore the game park situated on the TEN Campus. We are particularly interested in engaging schools with students who study English, Mandarin, French, Spanish, Arabic, and Hindi, as many of our TEN courses are prepared for integration into a Learning Management System (LMS) that can be connected to your school.Since 2013, TEN (www.TENcourses.org) has equipped over 7,000 pastors to establish non-formal Bible Schools in local churches across more than 80 countries. Many students desire formal recognition for their efforts and aspire to continue their theological education. Like SATS, your school may also wish to create pathways for TEN and other students to transition into formal educational programs seamlessly. If you find this opportunity intriguing, please get in touch with us at help@teacheverynation.org. We would be delighted to provide you with more information and an application form.
